Dr. Doom Plague Doctor Mask
Plague Dr. black faux leather mask with goggles.
In the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, plague doctors wore a mask with a bird-like beak which was filled with aromatic items. They wore it to protect from being infected by deadly diseases such as the Black Death, which they believed was airborne. In fact, they thought disease was spread by miasma, a noxious form of 'bad air.
